Added to our race line-up in 2009 was the Aquabike. Perfect for those athletes who can’t run (or choose not to suffer that much), the Aquabike starts out at the same time as the DeuceMan, utilizing the same swim and bike courses, then while those attempting the half continue on, Aquabike athletes head to the finish line!

TYR SWIM COURSE - 1.2 miles (Cut-off time 7:45 am)

Expected water temperature for the race is between 58 & 65 degrees.  Wetsuits are highly encouraged. TriSports.com will have a limited number of wetsuits available for rent at the race.  They will be available on a first-come, first-serve basis. If you would like to reserve one in advance, you can contact TriSports.com toll-free at 1-888-293-3934 or email service@trisports.com

The swim will be a triangular course (see map below).  Athletes will begin the race in the water or on the boat ramp depending on the water level on race day.  Wave information including swim start times will be included with your race packet and posted at the race site. Once the swim begins, swimmers will proceed from the channel, veering right to the first large buoy. The course will be run in a counter-clockwise direction.  Once you hit the first large buoy, turn left and swim to the second large buoy. Remember to keep all buoys on your left.  At the second large buoy, turn left again and head for the finish.  You do not need to round any buoys as you come back into the channel - just make the turn and head to the boat ramp and swim finish.  For those athletes that would like help in removing their wetsuits, volunteers will be available for support.  A designated area will be marked for this purpose.
