VOLUNTEER INFORMATION

Thanks for volunteering to help at the 5th Annual Deuces Wild Triathlon Festival! We have an exciting weekend in store for everyone and it would not be possible without the help of our dedicated volunteers. We have many positions available, and we welcome groups. We have 2 road triathlons on Saturday that take place at the same time, and 1 XTERRA triathlon on Sunday. Volunteers can work one or both days. We will also need set-up help the Thursday and Friday leading up to the race, as well as registration help on Friday before the race.

We are looking for some very special people who would be willing to take a larger role as a volunteer captain. This position requires a little extra time before the race, but will be perfect for someone with a take-charge attitude. Captains will be asked to help recruit volunteers for their specific area and will be the primary contact for their volunteers. Don't worry, though, you will have lots of help from our race staff - we don't expect you to do anything alone. You will receive guidance and detailed instructions to pass along to your group of volunteers.

We need captains and volunteers for the following areas:

  • Set-up (Thursday & Friday)
  • Course marking (Friday & Saturday)
  • Registration (Friday & Saturday)
  • Parking (Saturday & Sunday)
  • Timing (Saturday & Sunday)
  • Transition Area (Saturday & Sunday)
  • Wetsuit strippers (Saturday & Sunday)
  • Bike Aid/Course (Saturday & Sunday)
  • Run Aid/Course (Saturday & Sunday)
  • Finish-line (Saturday & Sunday)
  • Post-race food (Saturday & Sunday)
  • Tear-down (Saturday & Sunday)
  • Please contact the volunteer coordinator at matteberry@citlink.net with your name, email address, t-shirt size, top 3 choices of position, and whether you want to be a captain. We'll take it from there! You can make a small commitment or a large one. Either way, we guarantee that you will have a ton of fun and will receive free food! Competitors know that their day would not go well without you there and they let you know it! Thank you for volunteering!
